By Tarek Ramchani
Action will resume in FIA World Rallycross Championship this weekend in Belgium. Team and drivers will be heading to the beautiful Mettet circuit for round three of the 2015 season. The Audi squad will be once again represented by five Supercars coming from the three regular teams.
EKS will field two Audi S1 quattros. Team-owner Mattias Ekstrom who missed the last round at Hockenheil will be back behind the wheel of the #10 Audi S1. Eki was victorious at Hockenheim in DTM, he will be eager to do the same in World RX.
His team-mate Anton Marklund had a furstrating start this year. The young Swedish driver had a great pace but was unlucky in many times in both Portugal and Germany. Anton Marklund will drive the #92 Audi S1.
ALL-INKL Münnich Motorsport will enter the Belgian round with two Audi S3 RXs. Team owner René Münnich will drive the #77 car. His team-mate Alx Danielsson will drive the sister #55 machine. The German team had two unlucky rounds in Portugal and at Hockenheim, both René Münnich and Alx Danielsson will be eager to bounce back.
The fifth Audi entry is coming from Larsson Jernberg Racing. The #4 Audi A1 will be driven by Robin Larsson. The 2014 Euro RX champion performed very well at Hockenheim reaching the big final and ended the event in fifth place overall.
A full field of Supercars is expected at Mettet. The regular teams in FIA World Rallycross Championship will be joined by teams competing in Euro RX. The Belgian circuit will play host to the opening round of the 2015 FIA European Rallycross Championship.
